Microsoft now has a strong line-up of computers in its Surface range, with the latest update arriving

The complete Microsoft Surface line-up compared
Microsoft's current Surface range includes four Windows devices: the Surface Pro, Surface Laptop,
Surface Book and Surface Studio. They have some huge differences, so you'll want to make sure you
buy the right one.
Surface Pro
The Surface Pro is the cheapest of the four, starting at £799. It's primarily a powerful tablet 12in
running a full version of Windows 10, but you can buy a keyboard at an additional cost to turn it into
a more portable and versatile laptop.

Surface Laptop
The Surface Laptop is next in the line-up, starting at £979. This touchscreen laptop doesn't have a
detachable keyboard, so can't be used in tablet form like the Surface Pro can, but it offers a more
sturdy laptop design, a slightly bigger screen and a better battery life.

Surface Book
Next is the Surface Book, which is more expensive starting at £1,449. It has a 13in touchscreen display
like the Surface Laptop, but it offers a higher resolution and better specs overall.
It's essentially the Surface Pro but better (and more expensive) – the screen can detach to be used as
a tablet, and it comes with the Surface Pen included. It has an incredible hinge, too, which means you
can fold the Surface Book back on itself to be used in what Microsoft calls Draw Mode.

Surface Studio
The final Surface is the Surface Studio, which is targeted directly at designers. It's the only desktop
PC in the range, with a huge 28in touchscreen display.
It's available to pre-order now ahead of its release date of 15 June. There are three configurations
